2011 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
An assemblage from the finest sections of the finest vineyards gave birth to our 2011 Cornerstone Oregon Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Our flagship wine from Oregon exhibits the classic, age-able structure you always expect in a wine with the Cornerstone white label. A key aspect of our Cornerstone Oregon Pinot Noir is the extended aging it receives in barrel. While most producers take their wine out of barrel at 11 months, at Cornerstone Oregon our wines receive extending time in barrel to allow the wine to reach its full potential and complexity.
This 2011 was bottled after 14 months and its depth of flavor and harmonious oak highlights are a testament to our patience. While as a pinot noir this velvety wine can be enjoyed now, with three for four years in bottle it will evolve into a truly majestic wine. Our slow growth in Oregon has brought our production up to 1500 cases so finally we have an acceptable supply of this highly rated wine. Round and rich at just 13.5% alcohol, it was crafted from 100% Willamette Valley Pinot Noir: 29% Yamhill-Carlton, 29% Eola-Amity, 25% Dundee Hills, 11% Chehalem Mountain, 6% Ribbon Ridge
