Michael Dragutsky, M.D. is the founder and proprietor of Cornerstone Cellars. He currently practices medicine full time as a gastroenterologist in Memphis, TN. Dr. Dragutsky is one of the founding members of Gastro One, currently the 12th largest Gastroenterology group in the United States. Under his leadership as Chief Executive Office and Chief Financial Officer, Gastro One has become the preeminent GI group in the Mid-South and a nationally recognized practice for its progressive ideology, innovative techniques and clinical research. Growing from eight to twenty gastroenterologists under his direction, Dr. Dragutsky is most proud of the fact that no physician has ever left Gastro One (except through retirement).
Dr. Dragutsky received his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M College of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN, which at that time was the largest private hospital in the world. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at University of Tennessee. Besides being a full time clinician, he holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.
Dr. Dragutsky is also an owner of Phoenix Unequaled Home Entertainment, a nationally recognized residential systems integration company. For 14 consecutive years, Phoenix has been named one of the Top 100 companies by CE Pro Magazine, a leading trade publication for professionals in the custom residential electronic systems integration industry.
As the founder and proprietor of Cornerstone Cellars, Dr. Dragutsky has overseen its growth from a 300 case Napa Cabernet production in 1991 to its current diverse production in Napa and Oregon of several varieties totaling over 10,000 cases, as well as its continued recognition as a premier boutique winery. And as a physician, Dr. Dragutsky wholeheartedly endorses the consumption of wine for its health benefits.
