Howell Mountain - Ink Grade Block -Organically Certified VineyardHowell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon has been the signature wine of Cornerstone Cellars since our first vintage was made by founders Mike Dragutsky and David Sloas with fruit sourced from Randy Dunn in 1991. Today that wine is still glorious, a tribute to the longevity of wines made from Howell Mountain fruit. Our Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is entirely produced from an organically certified vineyard, farmed by master viticulturist Mark Neal, on a rugged mountainside at 1800 feet. The white tufa soils, consisting of decomposed volcanic ash, stress the vines and the fruit produced creates wines with intense varietal and vineyard character and firm tannins. Wines from this vineyard are profound, complex and concentrated and will age for many years. With proper aging this wine can attain true greatness.
