Very fine quality: elegant, full bodied, and crisp, with evident new oak character. It has apple, lemon peel, toast, new oak, and peach aromas/flavors. Long finish. Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, 1/3 new.

Excellent: a Pinot Noir that is supple, crisp, and intensely flavored, with a very persistent finish. In aroma/flavor it tastes of cherry, red currant, herbs, kola nut, and vanilla. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels, 62% new. 498 cases

 

✭ ✭ ✭ ✭✭ Cornerstone Cellars, 2011 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Delicious Sauvignon, in a fruity, complex style. It is full bodied, supple in texture, and very long on the finish, tasting of apple, lemon grass, vanilla, lime, passion fruit, and toast. Aged 5 months in older French oak barrels. Grapes from Talcott Vineyard, St. Helena. 361 cases

 

✭ ✭ ✭ ✭ Cornerstone Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010 A ripe, full bodied, and fairly rich Cabernet with plenty of oak character. It is fleshy in texture and both woody and tannic on the finish, tasting of blackberry jam, cassis, plum, tobacco, and cedar. Needs some aging. Excellent. 13% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc. Aged 22 months in French oak barrels, 65% new. 973 cases

Supple, tannic, and complex in style; this is a young, concentrated wine with years of development ahead. It tastes of plum jam, cherry, toast, cedar, and cassis. Excellent. 10% Merlot. Aged 22 months in French oak barrels, 75% new. 480 cases
